How We Work
The engagement model behind every TCM relationship.
CONTRACT & NEGOTIATION SUPPORT
Career Strategy & Contract Advisory
Long-term planning and contract-by-contract support across an athlete's career arc. TCM coordinates with licensed agents, attorneys, and financial advisors to ensure every signed agreement aligns with the athlete's broader trajectory rather than the short-term offer in front of them.
◆ Career roadmap planning across 1-, 3-, and 5-year horizons
◆ Contract review coordination with licensed legal counsel
◆ Offer evaluation and competitive benchmarking
◆ Transition planning between collegiate, professional, and post-career phases
DAY-TO-DAY MANAGEMENT
Personal Management & Operations
The work of being a professional athlete extends far beyond the field. TCM handles the operational layer — scheduling, communications, logistics, and gatekeeping — so the athlete can focus on performance.
◆ Calendar management and travel logistics
◆ Inbound communications screening and prioritization
◆ Appearance coordination, contracts, and rider management
◆ Vendor management across stylists, photographers, trainers, and support staff
◆ Family liaison and inner-circle coordination
THE WAY WE ARE PAID
The Culture Management Group works on a flat-fee retainer and project-based pricing model. We do not collect commission on contracts, deals, or agreements negotiated by licensed agents, attorneys, or advisors. Our compensation is for the work of management itself — strategy, brand, partnerships, day-to-day operations, and the long arc of building a career.
This model exists because we believe it produces better work. When a manager's compensation is tied to transaction volume, the incentives bend toward the next deal. When compensation is structured around the relationship, the incentives bend toward the client. We chose the second model deliberately.
We are not paid based on the deals our clients sign. We are paid for the work of building careers that earn those deals in the first place.
WHO WE TAKE ON
TCM works with a deliberately small roster. We evaluate each prospective client across four dimensions: the quality of the work, the character behind it, the ambition driving it, and the fit between the client's goals and our capabilities. We say yes carefully. When we say yes, we mean it.
We represent athletes and artists at multiple stages — emerging, professional, and established. Every stage has its own engagement structure, scope, and rhythm. There is no single TCM client profile, but there is a single TCM client standard.
ENGAGEMENT TIERS
We offer four tiers of retainer engagement, each designed for a specific stage of a client's career. Tier placement is recommended following the discovery process described below, based on the client's needs, the required scope of work, and our shared evaluation of long-term fit.
01Discovery
An on-ramp engagement for clients exploring whether TCM is the right long-term partner. Strategic guidance and selected deliverables, scoped to give both parties the information needed to make a longer commitment. Six-month maximum.
02Founder
Our entry-level full-service management tier. Designed for clients building real momentum — early-career professionals, NCAA athletes with active income, artists with a release calendar and growing audience.
03Growth
For clients scaling. Comprehensive management across all six TCM service pillars, with dedicated account support, weekly strategy work, and included quarterly project engagements.
04Legacy
Full inner-circle management for established clients. Custom scoped, founder-led, designed for athletes and artists whose careers require management built around them — not the other way around.
Pricing for each tier is shared in the conversation after we understand what you are building and the level of partnership you require.
PROJECT ENGAGEMENTS
For clients who do not require a full retainer, TCM offers project-based engagements across brand strategy, content production, press campaigns, partnership development, foundation launches, and other defined deliverables. Project engagements are quoted on scope, paid in two installments, and delivered against documented milestones.
HOW A RELATIONSHIP BEGINS
01Inquiry
Every relationship begins with a conversation. If you are considering working with TCM, please reach out through the contact channel on our website. Initial inquiries are personally reviewed by the founder.
02Discovery Call
If there is initial alignment, we schedule a 45-minute discovery call to understand your goals, your current situation, and what management would need to look like to be genuinely useful.
03Proposal
Within two weeks of the discovery call, we deliver a proposal: recommended tier, scope of services, pricing, and a clear picture of what the first ninety days would look like together.
04Engagement
If we move forward, the engagement begins with a structured onboarding period. Three-month minimum commitment, with quarterly reviews thereafter.
WHAT WE WILL NOT DO
There are things TCM does not do, and being clear about them is part of how we work.
We do not negotiate professional player contracts. That work belongs to licensed agents, and we coordinate closely with the licensed agent of record for every client who has one.
We do not provide legal advice. We work alongside entertainment and sports attorneys on every deal and document. Clients without existing legal counsel are introduced to vetted attorneys at no charge as part of onboarding.
We do not provide tax, investment, or financial advice. Clients are introduced to vetted CPAs and financial advisors as part of the management relationship.
We do not publicize client relationships. Discretion is the default posture, not the exception.
We do not take on clients whose values, conduct, or commercial direction we cannot stand behind. Roster size matters less than roster integrity.

BEGIN A CONVERSATION
If The Culture Management Group sounds like the kind of management you are looking for, the next step is a conversation. We respond to every serious inquiry.
